Day 1. Arrival In Istanbul
Upon arrival meet with Tour Escort at the airport and transfer to the hotel, where the remainder of the day is at your leisure. In the evening meet your traveling companions for a welcome cocktail hosted by your Tour Escort. Afterwards sample fine Turkish cuisine at dinner. Overnight in Istanbul. (D)

Day 2. Istanbul
Today begin your day with a tour to the magnificent Topkapi Palace. Once home to the great Sultans, it is filled with treasures and antiquities including twelve thousand pieces of fine Chinese porcelain. In the afternoon, visit the unique Blue Mosque built in 1609 by Sultan Ahmet. The interior walls are covered with twenty thousand blue iznik tiles. Visit the Hippodrome, and then on to the domed Basilica of St. Sophia, which has inspired architects and religious leaders for over fifteen hundred years. Constructed in 326 by Constantine the Great, it has been a cathedral, a mosque and now a museum. Spend the evening in Istanbul. (B, D)

Day 3. Istanbul
After breakfast, venture into the Grand Covered Bazaar. Built in 1457, it is famous for it's selection of goods and is the largest bazaar in the world with over four thousand shops. We continue on to the Egyptian Spice Bazaar where the scent of hundreds of spices permeates the air. Then, embark on a cruise of the Bosphorus, along the way, viewing the Dolmabahge Palace and the Beylerbeyi Palace, a nineteenth century palace on the Asian side of Istanbul. At the end of the day have a tea or Turkish coffee on the Pine Hill with a remarkable view of Istanbul and the Bosphorus. Overnight in Istanbul. (B, D)

Day 4. Istanbul - Antalya
Today, flight to the Mediterranean coastal city Antalya. Founded in the second century B.C. by King Attalus II of Pergamum, this cliff side city has a picturesque marina, beautiful parks, and a long stretch of pristine beach to wander along. Then, explore the Antalya Museum and Hadrians Gate, a tripartite marble structure built in 130 A.D. to commemorate the visit of the emperor Hadrian. After the tour, time is available for you to further explore on your own and spend the evening in Antalya. (B, D)

Day 5. Antalya: Perge - Aspendos
After breakfast embark on a full day trip to explore the ancient ruins of Perge, and Aspendos. Perge- the best example of a complete Roman city on the southern coast. Its stadium could accommodate fifteen thousand spectators. After that stop at our final destination- Aspendos. The Roman Theater here is the best preserved in the world. You can still see the names of spectators carved into the backs of the seats. Overnight in Antalya. (B, D)

Day 6. Antalya - Myra - Kaş
A short drive this morning takes you to Myra famous with Lycian Tombs and the birthplace of ST. Nicholas-the patron saint of children. Born around 300 A.D. "Santa Claus" served as the Bishop of Myra. After visiting the church, stop at Kas for overnight. (B, D)

Day 7. Kaş - Fethiye
Continue your route the main sights around Fethiye: Kayakoy and Ölüdeniz. In 1923 the compulsory exchange of citizens between Turkey and Greece left Kayakoy a ghost town. Still empty, this town has two Greek Orthodox churches with magnificent frescoes. Spend the rest of the afternoon at Ölüdeniz National Park. Here we find the most pristine swimming spot in the entire Mediterranean. Discover the Lycian Rock Tombs dating from the seventh century. Overnight in Fethiye. (B, D)

Day 8. Fethiye - Dalyan - Counos - Marmaris
Today provides a most unforgettable sightseeing adventure as you travel to Dalyan. Nestled on the edge of a river, this small town is well known for its beach where the river meets the sea. Here Turtle Beach is home to the endangered Caretta Caretta sea turtles that come to lay their eggs every year. Afterwards, boat trip to find out the magnificent Caunos tombs carved into the rock high on the cliff face, above the fascinating ancient Harbor City of Caunos. In the afternoon, drive to Marmaris, Physkos, was an important stage on the Anatolia-Rhodes-Egypt trade route. Continuing your day, a stop is made in a typical Turkish village to learn more about Traditional Turkish Life and Culture. Overnight in Marmaris. (B, D)

Day 9. Marmaris - Bodrum
Going from Marmaris to Bodrum, ancient Halicarnassus. Founded by the Dorion Greeks about 1000 B.C. the major attraction of the city is the Castle of St. Peter. Built in 1402 by the crusading Nights of St. John, the castle is a marvellous example of Crusader architecture. After our castle tour, explore The Tomb of King Mausolus (4th century B.C.), which was One of The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Overnight in Bodrum. (B, D)

Day 10. Bodrum Departure
After a farewell breakfast, transfer to Bodrum airport for flight home. (B)

Afterwards, explore the Citadel which overlooks the city; and Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk - the father of modern Turkey. Overnight in Ankara. (B, D)

Day 4. Ankara - Hattusha - Yazilikaya
Today travel to the north of the Ankara, Hattusha the Hittite religious centre was known as the City of Temples because over 70 temples stood there. En route stop by the Yazilikaya an open-air rock pantheon dating from the 13th century BC, contains fine relief of all the Hittite gods and goddesses. Turn back to Ankara to spend the evening. Day 5. Ankara - Cappadocia
Today leads us to Cappadocia to discover the Ihlara Canyon deep, narrow river gorges cut through the tufa by the Melendiz River. We can see the Church under the Tree, The Church of the Serpent and The Church of the Hyacinth. Later, visit the Underground City of Kaymakli. Around the sixth century the Christian inhabitants of this region began to tunnel into the soft volcanic rock of large hill. As deep as two hundred and seventy five feet with eight different levels, several thousand people lived in this subterranean city. Overnight in Cappadocia. (B, D)

Day 6. Cappadocia
Following breakfast visit the fascinating Göreme Valley. The lunar like landscape of this region is eerie, yet beautiful. Over thousand of years, the rain has eroded this landscape to give rise to strange rock formations known as "Fairy Chimneys". Many of these have homes and churches carved into them. Some of the grottos are magnificently decorated with colourful frescoes depicting biblical scenes. Also discover the Kizlar Manastin (Convent), The Church of St. Barbara and The Church of the Serpent in Goreme Village. In the afternoon, visit the Uchisar Fortress not built but carved out of a natural hill dominating the area with a breathtaking view of all the surrounding Cappadocian formations. Afterwards explore the Kizilcukur Valley in where figurative motifs are to be seen in the greatest numbers and this area is quite beautiful during sunset. Overnight in Cappadocia. (B, D)

Day 7. Cappadocia - Konya
Today starts with find out the manufacturing of the hand made carpets in one company. Afterwards, discover the Cavusinn church of which the architecture is not important is famous for its frescoes, which date from 11th century. Also, we will visit the Zelve having the most interesting fairy chimneys. On route to Konya stop at the Seljuk Caravansary of Sultan Hani, a mini fortress used to protect merchants from bandits as they crossed the ancient silk route. Overnight in Konya. (B, D)

Day 8. Konya - Hierapolis (Pamukkale)
Konya is one of Turkey's oldest cities. Find out the Outdoor Museum and then the Mevlana Museum to learn about the mystical religious sect known as the Whirling Dervishes. They use music and dance to induce themselves into a mystical state. As the ceremonial music plays, they begin to whirl, and their long skirt billow giving the impression that they are floating on air. In the afternoon, drive through the beautiful Anatolian countryside to Hierapolis for overnight. (B, D)

Day 9. Hierapolis - Aphrodisias - Kuşadası
Pamukkale (Hierapolis) is a magnificent natural formation unique in whole the world. Over the last fourteen thousand years, calcium rich water from an underground thermal spring has flowed over the mountainside and slowly solidified, creating Shallow White Basins and Twisted Stalagmites. Since antiquity, these thermal pools have been used for their healing powers. Depart to the Aphrodisias, dedicated to Aphrodite, the Goddess of love and was an important centre of the arts. The Sculpture School of Aphrodisias enjoyed great fame and is evident by the fine marble statues and architectural relief scattered throughout the side. Later, find out The Largest (30000 seats) and Best-Preserved Stadium of the classical world. Continue to travel to the seaside town of Ku§adasi where we spend the night. (B, D)

Day 10. Kuşadasi - Ephesus - Izmir
Today starts with journey to Ephesus in this morning, the largest ancient city ever uncovered. Once populated with three hundred thousand people, it has an enormous Amphitheatre, which can still hold twenty four thousand spectators. As we walk down the marble covered streets, we see gymnasiums, baths houses, public latrines, the library of Celsus, and the Temple of Artemis - One of the Seven Wonders of the World. Later, visit the sixth century Church of St. John and The House of Virgin Mary. Afterwards drive to Izmir and make a short tour of Kadifekale (Mt. Pagos) standing the impressive ruins of a castle and its walls, which were, built by Lysimachus in the reign of Alexander the Great. The castle offers an excellent vantagepoint to enjoy a magnificent view of the Gulf of Izmir. Overnight in Izmir. (B, D)

Day 11. Izmir - Pergamum - Bursa
On route to Ayvalik stop at ancient Pergamum, once ruled by Alexander the Great. Famous for the invention of parchment paper, Pergamum had a library containing two hundred thousand books. Visit the Acropolis, the Alter of Zeus, and the ten thousand-seat amphitheater. Tour the marvelous Asclepieion, a fourth century B.C. shrine to the healing God Asclepios. Drive Bursa to spend the evening. (B, D)

Day 12. Bursa - Istanbul
Today explore Bursa built in the fourteenth century. It was the first capital of the Ottoman Empire. We tour the buildings of the Green Ottoman Complex, constructed in the fifteenth century. Then, we visit the Grand Mosque is both the largest mosque in Bursa and one of the most striking examples of Ottoman art. Continue to Istanbul for overnight. (B, D)

Day 13. Istanbul

Stops are made to Miletus and Didyma to see the theaters, agoras, baths, and The Temple of Apollo- The Third Largest Temple of the ancient Greek world. (B, D)

First stop will be made in Karaada, the little island in front of Bodrum.Then journey to Çatı, a lovely bay encircled with pine trees on the south coast of the gulf. Spend time for swimming, sunbathing or sailing…Overnight in Çatı. (B, L, D)

Day 8. Çatı - Seven Islands (Yacht Cruise)
Today a stop is made at Seven Islands another interesting place in the gulf, a group of, surprisingly, four isles forming an exquisite harbour of blue sea and rich aquatic life. In the Kufre Bay, we suggest you a short walk through the storax (Liquidamber) forest. Perhaps you may have dinner as a barbecue tonight. (B, L, D)

Day 9. Seven Islands - Löngöz - Sögüt (Yacht Cruise)
Today sailing to löngöz to see its tropical setting. In the afternoon sail to the Söğüt bay an introvert unspoiled village where time seems to have stood still. This small village is only 20 Mile from the Marmaris. You may rent a midi-bus after dinner to leave the unique night in Marmaris. (B, L, D)

Before arriving Samsun, make a stop at Amasya for discover the rock faces, there are majestic Rock Tombs of the Pontus kings, which contribute very much to the attractiveness of the city. Afterwards, attend to the Museum of Ethnography in Samsun to see th6 priceless Amisos treasury excavated in 1955 and found in a square-shaped grave with 5 rooms carved out of conglomerate rock. Day 5. Samsun - Ordu - Rize
Leaving Samsun to go Ordu famous Hazelnut production center and visit the Cotyorea Basilica built in 17th century. In the afternoon, continue your transfer to Rize built on a mountain slope and covered with tea bushes, which look like puffy green pillows. Stop is made to visit Islam Pasa Mosque and The Remains of:a GenoeseCastle. You are at leisure to explore Rize. (B, D)

Day 6. Rize - Trabzon
Today provides a most unforgettable sightseeing adventure as you travel to Trabzon to visit the restored 13th century Byzantine church, used for centuries as a mosque and now the St. Sophia Museum, is the jewel of Trabzon's monuments. In the afternoon explore the magnificent setting for the 14th century Sumela Monestery, perched on a cliff face 270 meters above a deep gorge and surrounded by the ruins of the monks' dwelling, the church is covered inside by the ruins and out with brilliant frescoes. Day 7. Trabzon - Istanbul
After early flight to Istanbul, we will tour to the magnificent Topkapi Palace. Then, explore the Antalya Museum and Hadrians Gate, a tripartite marble structure built in 130 A.D. to commemorate the visit of the emperor Hadrian. After the tour, time is available for you to further explore on your own and spend the evening in Antalya. (B, D)

Day 5. Antalya: Perge - Aspendos
After breakfast embark on a full day trip to explore the ancient ruins of Perge, and Aspendos. Perge- the best example of a complete Roman city on the southern coast. Its stadium could accommodate fifteen thousand spectators. After that stop at our final destination- Aspendos. The Roman Theater here is the best preserved in the world. You can still see the names of spectators carved into the backs of the seats. Overnight in Antalya. (B, D)

Day 6. Antalya: Myra
A short drive this morning takes you to Myra famous with Lycian Tombs and the birthplace of ST. Nicholas-the patron saint of children. Born around 300 A.D. "Santa Claus" served as the Bishop of Myra. After our tour turn back to Antalya for overnight. (B, D)

Day 7. Antalya Departure

Day 4. Bursa - Gordion - Ankara
After breakfast drive to explore the Gordion in where Alexander the Great cut the Gordion Knot to gain the key to Asia. Then drive to Ankara for overnight.  (B, D)

Day 5 . Ankara - Cappadocia
Today discover the world renowned Museum of Anatolian Civilization which contains priceless artifacts from Palaeolithic to Roman times. Afterwards, explore the Citadel which overlooks the city; and Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk - the father of modern Turkey. On route to Nevsehir stop at the Seljuk Caravansary of Sultan Han, a mini fortress used to protect merchants from bandits as they crossed the ancient silk route. Then visit the Underground City of Kaymaklı. Around the sixth century the Christian inhabitants of this region began to tunnel into the soft volcanic rock of large hill. As deep as two hundred and seventy five feet with eight different levels, several thousand people lived in this subterranean city. Overnight in Cappadocia. (B, D)

Day 6. Cappadocia
Following breakfast visit the fascinating Göreme Valley. The lunar like landscape of this region is eerie, yet beautiful. Over thousand of years, the rain has eroded this landscape to give rise to strange rock formations known as "Fairy Chimneys". Many of these have homes and churches carved into them. Some of the grottos are magnificently decorated with colourful frescoes depicting biblical scenes. In the afternoon, visit the Uchisar Fortress not built but carved out of a natural hill dominating the area with a breathtaking view of all the surrounding Cappadocian formations. Afterwards explore the Kızılçukur Valley in where figurative motifs are to be seen in the greatest numbers and this area is quite beautiful during sunset. Overnight in Cappadocia. (B, D)

Day 7. Cappadocia - Konya
Today starts with find out the manufacturing of the hand made carpets in one company. Afterwards, discover the Çavuşinn church of which the architecture is not important is famous for its frescoes, which date from 11th century. Also, we will visit the Zelve having the most interesting fairy chimneys. On route to Konya stop at the Seljuk Caravansary of Sultan Hani, a mini fortress used to protect merchants from bandits as they crossed the ancient silk route. Overnight in Konya. (B, D)

Day 8. Konya - Antalya
Drive to Antalya and explore the Mediterranean coastal city Antalya. Visit the Acropolis, the Alter of Zeus, and the ten thousand-seat amphitheater. Tour the marvelous Asclepieion, a fourth century B.C. shrine to the healing God Asclepios. Continuing your day, you will travel to beautiful Izmir. A short tour of Kadifekale (Mt. Pagos) standing the impressive ruins of a castle and its walls, which were built by Lysimachus in the reign of Alexander the Great. Day 6. Izmir - Ephesus - Kuşadası
Today starts with journey to Ephesus, the largest ancient city ever uncovered. Once populated with three hundred thousand people, it has an enormous Amphitheatre, which can still hold twenty four thousand spectators. As we walk down the marble covered streets, we see gymnasiums, baths houses, public latrines, the library of Celsus, and The Temple of Artemis- One of The Seven Wonders of the World. Later, visit the sixth century Church of St.John and The House of Virgin Mary. Continue to travel to the seaside town of Kusadasi where we spend two nights. (B, D)

Day 7. Kuşadasi: Priene - Miletus - Didyma
Taking a full day trip to the major sites of Priene, Miletus, and Didyma in today. Built in 334 B.C. on the slopes of Mount Mycale, Priene is a spectacular site. Discover the Temple of Athena, the five thousand seat Hellenistic Theater, and gaze out to the sea from a top the Acropolis. Stops are made to Miletus and Didyma to see the theaters, agoras, baths, and The Temple of Apollo- The Third Largest Temple of the ancient Greek world. (B, D)

Day 8. Kuşadası - Aphrodisias - Hierapolis
Depart today, via the Aphrodisias, dedicated to Aphrodite, the Goddess of love, the city was an important center of the arts, with stops Hierapolis. The Sculpture School of Aphrodisias enjoyed great fame and is evident by the fine marble statues and architectural relief scattered throughout the side. Later, find out The Largest (30000 seats) and Best-Preserved Stadium of the classical world. In the afternoon stop at Pamukkale (Hierapolis), a magnificent natural formation unique in whole the world. Day 3. Erzurum - Kars - Iğdır
After breakfast in Erzurum, drive to Kars the centre of the Turkish-Russian War. Upon arrival attend the Havariler Museum (the 10th century Church of the Apostles) revealing a curious mixture of architectural influences. Afterwards explore the nearby Ancient City of Ani, a center of the Armenian Kingdom until the nth century Byzantine conquest. Natural disasters and invasions by the Mongols and then Tamerlane destroyed much of Ani resulting in a haunting medieval town surrounded by the remains of its imposing walls. Next stop is Igdir for overnight in here. (B, D)

Day 4. Iğdır - Ağrı - Tatvan
Today begin your day with discover the Urartian rock monuments, a 13th century Seljuk caravansary and the Karakale (Black Castle). In Karakoyun Village, on the road between Igdir and Arahk, stop at the impressive 15th century cemeteries with Karakoyun (ram and ewe) Monumental Tomb Stones. After that ride to Agri to explore the spectacular site of the Ishak Pasa Palace that was constructed by Ottoman governor of the province in the 17th century with a mixture of architectural styles. Next stop is made at a Bas-Relief of An Urartian King, and a Rock Tomb from the ninth century B.C. Then drive to Tatvan and overnight in here. (B, D)

Day 5. Tatvan
Today your adventure begins with a challenging climb to Mounth Nemrut in which center a deep crater lake bubbles with volcanic hot springs. After the tour, time is available for you to further explore. Spend the evening in this pleasant town. (B, D)

Day 6. Tatvan - Mardin - Diyarbakir
Continue travel to Mardin having one of the oldest Christian sects, the Syrian Orthodox. Visit the Medievel Citadel and also the Deyrul Zafaran Monastery housed some of Christianity's original hermits. After that, drive to Diyarbakir and move around the City Walls the triple black basalt walls with 16 keeps and five gates. They are longest in the world (5.5-km) and also represent a superb example of medieval military architecture. Next stop is the third century Aramaic Church of the Virgin Mary, which is still in use today, to make an interesting visiting. Overnight in Diyarbakir. (B, D)

Day 7. Diyarbakır - Şanlıurfa - Gaziantep
Your destination today is Şanlıurfa known as the birthplace of Abraham to explore the famous Mosque Complex and abraham's Cave. En route a stop is made at Gaziantep. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Gaziantep. (B, D)

Day 8. Gaziantep - Antioch - Adana
Today your adventure begins at the Antioch. Explore the Grotto of St. Peter Cave Church from which the apostle preached for the first time and where he established the Christian community. In 1983 the church was declared a holy site by the Vatican. South of the grotto, we stop at the Iron Gate one of the actual entrances of Biblical Antioch. Afterwards, your destination is Adana to visit the Archeological Museum displaying locally excavated Hittite and Roman remains. Transfer to your hotel for your overnight stay in Adana. (B, D)

THE LAND AND PEOPLE
(19 Days / 18 Nights)

Turkey. A melting pot where thirteen successive civilisations over a ten thousand year period have made contributions to it's rich culture and history. Let us fill your head with legends, facts, natural and man made wonders, which have shaped Turkey into a magnificent destination for you to enjoy.

Day 1. Arrival in Istanbul
pon arrival meet with Tour Escort at the airport and transfer to the hotel, where the remainder of the day is at your leisure. In the evening come together with your traveling companions for a welcome cocktail hosted by your Tour Escort. Afterwards sample fine Turkish cuisine at dinner. Overnight in Istanbul. (D)

Day 2. Istanbul
Today begin your day with a tour to the magnificent Topkapi Palace. Once home to the great Sultans, it is filled with treasures and antiquities including twelve thousand pieces of fine Chinese porcelain. In the afternoon, visit the unique Blue Mosque built in 1609 by Sultan Ahmet. The interior walls are covered with twenty thousand blue iznik tiles. Visit the Hippodrome, and then on to the domed Basilica of St. Sophia, which has inspired architects and religious leaders for over fifteen hundred years. Constructed in 326 by Constantine the Great, it has been a cathedral, a mosque and now a museum. Spend the evening in Istanbul. (B, D)

Day 3. Istanbul
After breakfast venture into the Grand Covered Bazaar. Built in 1457, it is famous for it's selection of goods and is the largest bazaar in the world with over four thousand shops. We continue on to the Egyptian Spice Bazaar where the scent of hundreds of spices permeates the air. Then, embark on a cruise of the Bosphorus, along the way, viewing the Dolmabahce Palace and the Beylerbeyi Palace, a nineteenth century palace on the Asian side of Istanbul. And finish our day with a stroll to Pine Hill for a remarkable view of Istanbul and the Bosphorus. Overnight in Istanbul. (B, D)

Day 4. Istanbul - Dardanelles
After breakfast we leave Istanbul to visit Canakkale (Dardanelles) the cradle of many ancient civilizations and taking visitors back into the depth of history. Discover the Troy a symbolic wooden Trojan horse commemorates the legendary war. Spend the evening in Canakkale. (B, D)

Day 5. Dardanelles - Pergamum - Izmir
On route to izmir stop at ancient Pergamum, once ruled by Alexander the Great. Famous for the invention of parchment paper, Pergamum had a library containing two hundred thousand books. Visit the Acropolis, the Alter of Zeus, and the ten thousand-seat amphitheater. Tour the marvelous Asclepieion, a fourth century B.C. shrine to the healing God Asclepios. Continuing your day, you will travel to beautiful izmir. A short tour of Kadifekale (Mt. Pagos) standing the impressive ruins of a castle and its walls, which were built by Lysimachus in the reign of Alexander the Great. The castle offers an excellent vantagepoint to enjoy a magnificent view of the Gulf of izmir. Overnight in izmir. (B, D)

Day 6. Izmir - Ephesus - Kusadasi
Today stars with a journey to Ephesus in this morning, the largest ancient city ever uncovered. Once populated with three hundred thousand people, it has an enormous Amphitheatre, which can still hold twenty four thousand spectators. As we walk down the marble covered streets, we see gymnasiums, baths houses, public latrines, the library of Celsus, and The Temple of Artemis-One of the Seven Wonders of the World. Later, visit the sixth century Church of St. John and The House of Virgin Mary. Continue to travel to the seaside town of Kusadasi where we spend two nights. (B, D)

Day 7. Kuşadası: Priene - Miletus - Didyma
Taking a full day trip to the major sites of Priene, Miletus, and Didyma in today. Built in 334 B.C. on the slopes of Mount Mycale, Priene is a spectacular site. Discover the Temple of Athena, the five thousand seat Hellenistic Theater, and gaze out to the sea from a top the Acropolis. Stops are made to Miletus and Didyma to see the theaters, agoras, baths, and The Temple of Apollo- The Third Largest Temple of the ancient Greek world. (B, D)

Day 8. Kuşadasi - Aphrodisias - Hierapolis
Depart today, via the Aphrodisias, dedicated to Aphrodite, the Goddess of love, the city was an important center of the arts, with stops Hierapolis. The Sculpture School of Aphrodisias enjoyed great fame and is evident by the fine marble statues and architectural relief scattered throughout the side. Later, find out The Largest (30000 seats) and Best-Preserved Stadium of the classical world. In the afternoon stop at Pamukkale (Hierapolis), a magnificent natural formation unique in whole the world. Over the last fourteen thousand years, calcium rich water from an underground thermal spring has flowed over the mountainside and slowly solidified, creating Shallow White Basins and Twisted Stalagmites. Since antiquity, these thermal pools have been used for their healing powers. Spend the evening in Pamukkale. (B, D)

Day 9. Hierapolis - Konya
This morning, drive through the beautiful Anatolian country side to Konya, one of Turkey's oldest cities. Find out the Outdoor Museum and then the Mevlana Museum to learn about the mystical religious sect known as the Whirling Dervishes. They use music and dance to induce themselves into a mystical state. As the ceremonial music plays, they begin to whirl, and their long skirt billow giving the impression that they are floating on air. Overnight in Konya. (B, D)

Day 10. Konya - Cappadocia
On route to Nevsehir stop at the Seljuk Caravansary of Sultan Han, a mini fortress used to protect merchants from bandits as they crossed the ancient silk route. Later, discover the Underground City of Kaymakli. Around the sixth century the Christian inhabitants of this region began to tunnel into the soft volcanic rock of large hill. As deep as two hundred and seventy five feet with eight different levels, several thousand people lived in this subterranean city. Overnight in Cappadocia. (B, D)

Day 11. Cappadocia
Following breakfast visit the fascinating Gb'reme Valley. The lunar like landscape of this region is eerie, yet beautiful. Over thousand of years, the rain has eroded this landscape to give rise to strange rock formations known as "Fairy Chimneys". Many of these have homes and churches carved into them. Some of the grottos are magnificently decorated with colorful frescoes depicting biblical scenes. Overnight in Cappadocia. (B, D)

Day 12. Cappadocia - Ankara
Your destination today is Ankara, stop is made along the way at a caravansary. Then visit the world renowned Museum of Anatolian Civilization which contains priceless artifacts from Paleolithic to Roman times. Also visit the enormous Citadel which overlooks the city; and Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatiirk - the father of modern Turkey. Overnight in Ankara. (B, D)

Day 13. Ankara - Antalya
Today, flight to the Mediterranean coastal city Antalya. Founded in the second century B.C. by King Attalus II of Pergamum, this cliff side city has a picturesque marina, beautiful parks, and a long stretch of pristine beach to wander along. Also explore the Antalya Museum and Hadrians Gate, a tripartite marble structure built in 130 A.D. to commemorate the visit of the emperor Hadrian. After the tour, time is available for you to further explore on your own and spend the evening in Antalya. (B, D)

Day 14. Antalya: Perge - Aspendos
After breakfast embark on a full day trip to explore the ancient ruins of Perge, and Aspendos. Perge- the best example of a complete Roman city on the southern coast. Its stadium could accommodate fifteen thousand spectators. After that stop at our final destination- Aspendos. The Roman Theater here is the best preserved in the world. You can still see the names of spectators carved into the backs of the seats. Overnight in Antalya. (B, D)

Day 15. Antalya - Myra - Kaş
A short drive this morning takes you to Myra famous with Lycian Tombs and the birthplace of ST. Nicholas-the patron saint of children. Born around 300 A.D.,"Santa Claus" served as the Bishop of Myra. After our tour of the church a stop is made to spend evening in Kas. (B, D)

Day 16. Kaş - Fethiye
Continue your route the main sights around Fethiye: Kayakoy and Oliideniz. In 1923 the compulsory exchange of citizens between Turkey and Greece justify Kayakoy a ghost town. Still empty, this town has two Greek Orthodox Churches with magnificent frescoes. Spend the rest of the afternoon at Oliideniz National Park. Here we find the most pristine swimming spot in the entire Mediterranean. Discover the Lycian Rock Tombs dating from the seventh century. Overnight in Fethiye. (B, D)

Day 17. Fethiye - Dalyan - Counos - Marmaris
Today provides a most unforgettable sightseeing adventure as you travel to Dalyan. Nestled on the edge of a river, this small town is well known for its beach where the river meets the sea. Here Turtle Beach is home to the endangered Caretta Caretta sea turtles that come to lay their eggs every year. Afterwards, boat trip to find out the magnificent Caunos tombs carved into the rock high on the cliff face, above the fascinating ancient Harbor City of Caunos. In the afternoon, drive to Marmaris, Physkos, was an important stage on the Anatolia-Rhodes-Egypt trade route. Continuing your day, a stop is made in a typical Turkish village to learn more about Traditional Turkish Life and Culture. Overnight in Marmaris. (B, D)

Day 18. Marmaris - Bodrum
Today the road leads us from Marmaris to Bodrum, ancient Halicarnassus. Founded by the Dorion Greeks about 1000 B.C. the major attraction of the city is the Castle of St. Peter. Built in 1402 by the crusading Nights of St. John, the castle is a marvelous example of Crusader architecture. After our castle tour, exploring of the Tomb of King Mausolus (4th century B.C.), which was One of The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Overnight in Bodrum. (B, D)

Day 19. Bodrum Departure
After a farewell breakfast, transfer to Bodrum airport for flight home. (B)
